From Chelmsford Town Centre

  • Leave Parkway via Rainsford Road (A1060) signposted to Sawbridgeworth/Bishops Stortford.
  • Follow this road passing Old Chelmsfordians club/BP Garage on your left until you reach a mini-roundabout.
  • Take the 2nd exit, staying on the A1060 for about 9 miles passing through Boyton Cross and Margaret Roding.
  • At the mini-roundabout Leaden Roding take the 2nd exit towards Dunmow on the B184.
  • After about a mile, you'll enter the 40mph zone in Aythorpe Roding. About 100 yards after the sign, turn left into the unadopted track that leads to the Recreation Ground.

From Dunmow High Street

  • Leave the High Street in the direction of Chelmsford down Flitch Hill.
  • At the mini-roundabout turn right onto the B184 signposted to Ongar.
  • Follow the road for about 5 miles passing through High Roding.
  • The Axe and Compasses pub will appear on your right hand side as you enter Aythorpe Roding.
  • Continue into the 40mph zone passing the Village Hall and Windmill Meadows on your right.
  • 50 yards after Windmill Meadows turn right into the unadopted track that leads to the Recreation Ground.

From Braintree/Colchester

  • Follow the A120 to Dunmow exiting at Dunmow East (first Dunmow exit).
  • Follow the signs towards Dunmow High Street, passing the Police Station on your left, until you reach a mini-roundabout.
  • Turn left at the mini roundabout onto the B184 signposted to Ongar.
  • Follow the road for about 5 miles passing through High Roding.

From Harlow

  • Leave Harlow on the B183 towards Hatfield Heath passing through Sheering.
  • At Hatfield heath, join the A1060 signposted to Chelmsford.
  • Follow the A1060, passing through White Roding until you reach Leaden Roding.
  • At the mini roundabout turn left onto the B184 towards Dunmow.
  • After about a mile, you'll enter the 40mph zone in Aythorpe Roding. About 100 yards after the sign, turn left into the unadopted track that leads to the Recreation Ground.

From Bishops Stortford

Either

  • Take the A120 to Dunmow exiting at Dunmow east (second Dunmow exit).
  • Follow the signs towards Dunmow High Street, passing the Police Station on your left, until you reach a mini-roundabout.
  • Turn left at the mini roundabout onto the B184 signposted to Ongar.
  • Follow the road for about 5 miles passing through High Roding.

  • Take the A1060 to Hatfield Heath.
  • At Hatfield Heath, turn left onto the A1060 signposted to Chelmsford.
  • Follow the A1060, passing through White Roding until you reach Leaden Roding.
  • At the mini roundabout turn left onto the B184 towards Dunmow.
  • After about a mile, you'll enter the 40mph zone in Aythorpe Roding. About 100 yards after the sign, turn left into the unadopted track that leads to the Recreation Ground.
